Peace and Dignity Camp
June 9-12, 2000

We are pleased to announce the Peace and Dignity Camp for 2000. We will be camping as friends and family this year at Sterling Springs in Sterling, MA from Friday, June 4th to Sunday afternoon, June 6th. Peace Camp gates will oprn at 2:00 pm on Friday the 9th.

As in the past, Maestro Tlakaelel, Mexika-Tolteka Elder and Man-of- Knowledge, will serve as the Spiritual Advisor for the camp, although other Elders have been invited as well. The Peace and Dignity Camp is a family event and children are both welcome and encouraged to attend. There will be special activities planned for the children who wish to particiapte.

All camp work responsibilities will be shared by those in attendance. There is a pond on the grounds for canoeing and swimming, however, there will be no lifeguard on duty. The Camp is a Spiritual Gathering; drugs, alcohol, and weapons are strictly prohibited. No pets will be permitted on the grounds.

All meals will be provided on Saturday, as well as a brunch on Sunday. No meals will be prepared on Friday during set-up or in the evening; so please be prepared. We do ask that you bring your own reusable utensils (plates, forks, cups, etc.). This is very important to our concept of minimizing detrimental impact on our environment. We will be composting and minimizing all solid waste. Each family is responsible for its own tents, camping gear, and trash.

We are requesting a minimum donation of $25.00, up to 40.00 for each adult, and 60.00 up to 100.00 for families, to help defray the costs of food, campground rental, and to assist the elders with their travel expenses. Your donation above the requested minimum is tax deductible. Please note that the requested minimum donation is very low, (and does not cover all our costs), so that all may come. Please call if you wish to come and cannot afford the minimum donation, and please donate more if you are able. Please register early as psace is limited.
